TraceIngestInfo

Enum TraceIngestInfo

Source
pub enum TraceIngestInfo {
    Datadog,
    Otlp {
        receiver_sampling_rate: f64,
    },
}
Expand description

The protocol a trace chunk was ingested through.

Set once when the trace is constructed. Span attributes can be rewritten or removed downstream, so they cannot reliably identify the input protocol.

Variants§

§

Datadog

Received in a Datadog tracer payload.

§

Otlp

Translated from OTLP.

Fields

§receiver_sampling_rate: f64

The OTLP receiver’s configured sampling rate, normalized to (0, 1].

This is the receiver’s configuration, not an estimate of sampling performed upstream of it. The value is not validated here; the producer normalizes it.
